Dec 11

San Diego-Imperial Swimming has released the estimated meet timeline, warm-up assignments, team job, and lane timing assignments for this weekend’s upcoming Winter Age Group Championship meet.  From the Meet Director:

  • This meet is going to be huge!  We have well over 900 swimmers entered in this year’s meet, and expect the pool deck to be quite hectic at times.  Teams are encouraged to car pool to Coronado as parking around the BBMAC will be at a premium.  Allow plenty of extra time to arrive at the facility, warmup, and for swimmers to get to the blocks in time to make their heats.

From the BBMAC Aquatics Director:

  • The BBMAC complex will open by 6:15 am each morning.  An outside swim team will be practicing in the pool until 7:00am – please be courteous until they finish.
  • Other swim and water polo teams have practice on Friday evening.  Team canopies may be dropped off (or setup in the CHS quad) after 6 pm on Friday.
  • Once again, no team or personal canopies will be allowed on the pool deck (inside the pool fences).  Team canopies and tarps will only be allowed in the CHS quad areas.  Coaches will be allowed to set up canopies over the coaching tables and chairs on both sides of the main pool.  Do not setup canopies where they will block travel paths to exits, gates, or restrooms.
  • No propane heaters are allowed on campus.
  • Please do not bring pets to the meet.  Service animals are allowed.
  • Additional parking will be available at Village Elementary on Saturday and Monday.

Programs will not be sold this year or printed for coaches.  The meet program, psych sheets and meet timelines are available for free download.  Print them out before you come to the pool!  Information should also be available on Meet Mobile.
