Due to safety-related weather concerns, tonight’s swimming events have been cancelled.  The 1000Y freestyle events will be rescheduled to a later time during the meet.  San Diego-Imperial Swimming apologizes for the inconvenience, but weather conditions at the pool deck are deteriorating to the point where the meet could not be held safely.
Please pass this information along to your parents and swimmers as soon as possible.  I am currently on the pool deck and can be reached at 619-850-2927 if you have any questions.
There will be an extended coaches’ meeting tomorrow am at 0845 to discuss possible options for rescheduling these 2 events.

Just wanted you to be aware that we are expecting severe weather – winds of 30+ MPH and severe rain, with possible thunderstorms – in the Coronado area between 4 and 8 pm tonight.  If the weather develops as predicted, we will probably need to postpone tonight’s session – events 1 and 2, the 1000Y freestyle.
Right now the winds in Coronado are at 25 mph, but no rain yet.  I have just spoken to the meet referee and our LSC senior chair…we plan on making the go/no-go decision by 3 pm today at the latest, which hopefully will be early enough that some of you will not have to travel through the wind and rain to get to tonight’s session.
SI Swimming will get additional information out as soon as possible once a determination is made.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

According to a SDSU Aquaplex representative, all Senior Classic swimmers under the age of 18 will be required to fill out and sign a SDSU Youth Waiver Form.  In order to avoid long lines at check-in, it is highly recommended that under 18 swimmers complete the form and have it signed by a parent or guardian prior to arriving at the meet.
